About

Human first, therapist second.

I have nearly 10 years of professional experience supporting individuals with their mental health challenges and personal goals. You can expect to be met with warmth and compassion, a casual and collaborative approach, and someone who will gently challenge you as needed to reach your goals. I am also deeply committed to social justice and practicing from an anti-oppressive framework, in addition to being culturally aware and trauma informed.

My training and professional experiences are important aspects of my qualifications, however, I also believe that one's lived experiences offer a very valuable perspective. While it is not essential that a therapist has the same life experiences as you, it may at times be helpful to have similarities that are relatable. Here are some of my lived experiences that I draw on to empathize with and help guide my clients: being a first generation college student, a family history of substance abuse, identifying as a highly sensitive person, having experienced the loss of a parent, chronic health/autoimmune issues, my personal experience in therapy on and off for several years, and more.
